Comedian Laura Clery faced her “most terrifying night” when a 600-pound fridge fell on her, pinning her against the counter. She shared details of the incident on Instagram, revealing that her “biggest fear came true” when she was seriously injured and alone with her two children. Clery, 39, expressed gratitude toward God and thanked the first responders for their swift action.

While preparing for bed, the massive fridge unexpectedly fell on Clery, immobilizing her. Describing the ordeal, she said, “I couldn’t move. Couldn’t breathe right.” She feared for her life as she began to lose consciousness. Fortunately, her phone was within reach, allowing her to call 911. She repeatedly thanked God for preventing harm to her children, emphasizing the relief that it did not fall on them. It took three firefighters working together to lift the refrigerator and free her.

Clery shared video clips of the rescue, where first responders transported her to an ambulance. From the ambulance, wearing a neck brace, she praised the firefighters for their quick and decisive actions. Clery noted, “It took three firefighters to lift it off me. I’m still shaking.” She recalled the pain relief provided by medication administered at the scene.

Expressing her gratitude further, Clery said, “They got there so fast, broke through my garage door, and got me to the trauma unit before things got worse.” Reflecting on the incident, she acknowledged how differently things could have gone and expressed overwhelming gratitude that neither she nor her children suffered serious harm. “No broken bones, my kids are okay and safe, I can walk… I’m so lucky!” she added, praising the calm and heroism of the first responders.
