Spencer Pratt Responds to Criticism Amid Political Campaign

Spencer Pratt, known for his role in reality TV show The Hills, is making headlines with his political ambitions. Pratt is running for mayor of Los Angeles, which has sparked considerable attention and controversy.

Recently, actress Hannah Einbinder criticized Pratt at a public event, noting the incongruity between Pratt’s political endorsement by Donald Trump and the struggles faced by ordinary Angelenos. She said many wealthy people in Los Angeles masquerade as Democrats, but money sways their votes, leading to support for candidates like Pratt who she advised against.

Einbinder stated, “There’s a lot of wealth in this city and I think that there are a lot of people who masquerade as Democrats or people on the left, but really, money is their key issue and that’s what leads them to vote for people like Spencer Pratt.”

Pratt responded by posting a video on social media. He countered Einbinder’s remarks, highlighting the disparity between her protected lifestyle and the realities on the streets faced by many residents. He pointed out discrepancies in her critique, emphasizing his drive for change for the common people.

Pratt has been proactive in addressing all criticism directed at his political campaign. Following critiques from celebrities like Lisa Rinna, Pratt defended his past as a reality star by contrasting it with political backgrounds of other politicians. He referenced Karen Bass, portraying his involvement in TV as morally superior to her alleged controversial activities.

Pratt tackled Chelsea Handler’s views too, responding to her assertions regarding his qualifications. He attached a video with comedian Shane Gillis, who famously highlighted Handler’s past associations, adding to the political drama surrounding his campaign.

Despite various criticisms, Pratt maintains his campaign momentum. An L.A. Times poll indicates competitive standing against the major candidates, with Pratt securing support from 22% of the voters.

The political race in Los Angeles continues to be a topic of intense debate as Pratt navigates the challenges brought on by his shift from entertainment to politics.
