Controversy Arises from Jill Biden’s Remarks on Joe’s Debate Performance

Jill Biden’s memoir has brought attention to former President Joe Biden’s performance during the 2024 presidential debate. Her concern about his health during the debate sparked discussions about his capabilities. Michael LaRosa, a former chief spokesperson, critiques the White House’s handling of the situation, claiming it evades addressing the issues directly. He believes attempts to change public perception are untimely.

Michael LaRosa accused Jill Biden of attempting to alter public memory after she disclosed her fear during the debate. She worried President Biden might have been experiencing a stroke, a revelation now facing scrutiny. Critics argue that she reversed her initial stance on Joe Biden’s debate against Donald Trump.

LaRosa commented, “They’re trying to change the tape in people’s minds about who she is.” He suggested that Jill Biden aims to convey that her concerns were as severe as viewers’. Noting if Jill Biden expressed her true sentiments during the debate, it would have been seen as a genuine human response.

“You did such a great job, you answered every question, you knew all the facts,” Jill Biden congratulated then-President Biden after the June 2024 debate.

In a recent interview with CBS, she revealed her shock, thinking, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke.’ This comment fueled debates surrounding Joe Biden’s fitness for leadership. Republicans used the debate performance to argue his unsuitability as commander in chief, while Democrats dismissed it as a temporary lapse.

Despite Jill Biden’s comments still reverberating nearly two years later, Axios reporter Alex Thompson questioned her description of events. He shared insights from Biden aides, who had noticed similar occurrences before and after. These instances became challenging to predict and hide.
