Dez Bryant Comments on Knicks’ Game 3 Loss and Fans’ Reaction

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant expressed amusement over New York Knicks fans’ reactions following the team’s Game 3 loss. Some fans attributed their defeat to President Donald Trump’s presence at the game. The San Antonio Spurs secured a 115-111 victory over the Knicks in front of an enthusiastic crowd, which included Trump.

The Knicks committed 13 turnovers and shot 45% from the field. In contrast, the Spurs shot 46% and only had eight turnovers. Despite these statistics, certain Knicks fans found fault with Trump’s presence, ignoring New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who also attended the game.

“That’s what you Knicks fans get for hating on President Trump!” Bryant commented on social media platform X.

Trump was met with a massive reaction at Madison Square Garden, differing significantly from the response he received at the college football national championship in Florida earlier that year. Bryant faced criticism from some quarters for being perceived as a Trump supporter. Responding to his critics, Bryant stated:

“Whatever personal problem you got with Trump.. IDGAF! go beat your face on the concrete if it makes you feel any better!”

In another message, he mentioned:

“With all due respect.. I don’t spend my time focusing on politics.. I don’t know what he deserves!”

Amidst the blame game, Knicks head coach Mike Brown highlighted the foul disparities. The Spurs shot 32 free throws compared to the Knicks’ 22 attempts. Brown commented:

“First of all, I want to make sure I get something clear. Coach Mitch Johnson and the Spurs. They won the game tonight. They came and took the game.”

“But I will say this: I never thought I would be in the NBA Finals and see a team get 24 free throw attempts in the second half to another team’s eight. I don’t think I complain much about officials or the fairness when it comes to the free throw attempts.”
