Griffin addressed the topic in a recent video on her YouTube channel. She explained that many people had been sharing the photo with her, prompting her to confirm its authenticity.
Griffin recalled having a friendly relationship with Trump at the time the photo was taken. She described Trump as someone she used to know but no longer associates with. Despite frequent criticism of him, she acknowledged enjoying one image showing herself with Trump and financial TV personality Suze Orman, capturing the spirit of the 2000s when Trump frequently attended events.
In 2017, Griffin faced widespread backlash after publishing a controversial photograph holding a Halloween mask depicting Trump’s severed head. The stunt drew bipartisan condemnation and led to a Secret Service investigation assessing whether it posed a threat to the president. Griffin initially apologized but later retracted the apology. She now expresses pride in having shared the contentious image, asserting the action as satire and reflective of her views at the time.
While acknowledging the existence of pictures of herself with Trump available online, Griffin criticizes individuals who use these images to label her as a hypocrite. She stands by her past actions and views the episode as a defining part of her public persona.
