Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is on the countdown to marrying his famous fiancée, Taylor Swift. The couple will tie the knot on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The wedding is expected to cost around $20 million.
Many have speculated whether this upcoming milestone might impact Kelce’s performance during the Chiefs’ offseason training activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp. However, head coach Andy Reid assured everyone that Kelce remains focused on his football duties.
“Can’t talk about it,” Reid joked, noting the nondisclosure agreements signed for the event.
Reid expressed satisfaction with Kelce’s dedication, stating Kelce has been present for most, if not all, of the offseason activities. He participated fully in the mandatory camp and impressed with his performance.
Despite the looming wedding, Reid noticed no distractions affecting Kelce. Reid humorously remarked that during his own wedding, he simply followed his wife’s lead, suggesting Kelce might be doing the same.
Kelce attended all OTAs and minicamp sessions. With the wedding planned weeks before the start of training camp in late July, he and Swift have strategically organized their schedule to avoid conflicts with the Chiefs’ commitments.
The couple has also planned not to take an immediate honeymoon. They intend to embark on a multi-week trip later in the year, visiting Asia, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Italy, and Paris.
