A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday morning when a person was killed while trying to change a tire on I-80/I-94 in southwest suburban Lansing. The incident was reported by the Illinois State Police.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., troopers responded to a crash report on the westbound I-80 at Torrence Avenue. Preliminary details suggest that the victim was in the process of changing a tire when they were struck by a vehicle.
Following the incident, two lanes were closed to allow the Illinois State Police to conduct their investigation.
The Illinois State Police are requesting assistance from the public. They are particularly interested in acquiring any dashcam footage of the incident.
