Lee Greenwood Re-Launches Soldier Valley Spirits for America’s 250th Celebration

Grammy Award-winning country music artist Lee Greenwood, known for his patriotic song “God Bless the USA,” is reintroducing his Soldier Valley Spirits collection just in time for America’s 250th birthday. The revival comes after the initial distillery ceased operations in 2024. Soldier Valley Spirits supports charities for veterans and first responders.

“We’re really excited to relaunch this product,” Greenwood shared in an interview with Fox News Digital.

Soldier Valley Spirits has maintained its charitable focus from the start. Proceeds from every bottle sold contribute to organizations such as Helping a Hero, the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, and Folds of Honor.

The product lineup includes whiskey, bourbon, and vodka, with all three featured in the “America’s 250th Birthday Collection.” The spirits come in specially designed bottles, reminiscent of World War II canteens. These bottles were crafted by a former Army sergeant.

Greenwood emphasized the mission of Soldier Valley Spirits—to support military heroes and their families. The company’s website highlights its foundation in values such as faith, family, and national service.

Greenwood advocates using these spirits for events including weddings, sporting occasions, or as a post-dinner drink.

“I would toast America” while enjoying the spirits, Greenwood remarked.

Soldier Valley Spirits aims to expand retail availability across numerous stores. Consumers can also purchase the products online, with shipping available to most states.

Beyond the spirits venture, Greenwood is spearheading significant events celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. He initiated the Great American State Fair, introducing former President Donald Trump at the Freedom 250 celebration. Greenwood also performed “God Bless the USA” with the Marine Corps Band.

At 83, Greenwood has been recognized with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s National Patriot Award. He has performed more than 30 United Service Organizations (USO) tours.

Appointed to the National Endowment for the Arts council by President George W. Bush in 2008, Greenwood received similar appointments under Presidents Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Trump, who also named him to the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees.

Reflecting on his career, Greenwood stated, “I’ve spent much of my career honoring the men and women who serve our country ever since my first USO tour in 1989 with Bob Hope.” He regards Soldier Valley Spirits as an avenue to express gratitude and support veteran and first-responder families.

Greenwood recalls his first USO tour with Hope, performing eight shows in eight days across numerous global stops, covering 25,000 miles. He esteemed Hope for his dedication to troops during the Vietnam era.

Greenwood penned “God Bless the USA” on a bus, expressing pride in the opportunities America afforded him through hard work. The song, released in 1984, peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.

The song re-emerged during pivotal moments, like the Gulf War and post-9/11, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite initial uncertainty about releasing the song, his record label decided to move forward. Greenwood noted, “There was nothing I could follow it with” in performances.

Greenwood later released the “American Patriot” album in 1992, featuring essential American ballads.

Greenwood is slated to receive the 2026 All-American Icon Award and perform “God Bless the USA” at the Countdown 250 Ball in Washington, D.C.
