Dave & Buster’s Times Square location has introduced a limited-time Pretzel Dog Tower, transforming one of America’s most iconic Fourth of July foods into a towering centerpiece meant for sharing. Americans consume approximately 150 million hot dogs on July 4, a number that could stretch from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles over five times, according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council.
General manager Steve Friedl oversees the Times Square location in New York City and aims to enhance the holiday experience. Central to their efforts is the Pretzel Dog Tower, which has attracted significant attention in the dining room. Friedl shared, “The Fourth of July is really about bringing people together. We wanted to create a fun, shareable menu item that reflects that spirit. The hot dog is one of America’s most iconic holiday traditions, so we put together a bigger, bolder spin on the classic.”
Designed to be an impressive centerpiece for group celebrations, the Pretzel Dog Tower has captivated diners. Friedl recounted a moment he checked on a table enjoying the promotion, noting the curiosity and excitement the tower generated.
“One guest described it as ‘amazing,'” Friedl said. The Pretzel Dog Tower has sparked interest amongst Dave & Buster’s guests.
Holiday weekend spending on food and cookouts is anticipated to surpass $9 billion nationally, highlighting the emphasis on value as families celebrate outside the home, according to the National Retail Federation.
Dave & Buster’s embraces this demand with a full agenda, including unlimited gameplay, a live DJ, an all-American barbecue buffet, and a hot dog-eating contest. Friedl emphasized the importance of energy and excitement: “It’s really about the energy and the excitement, bringing it to the guests,” he said. “Not even just the guests, but my staff. We get dialed in. We just want to create that fun experience.”
