New Orleans Saints legend Cam Jordan plans to conclude his career after the upcoming NFL season, marking his 16th year in the league. Having delivered a commendable 10½-sack performance in 2025, Jordan re-signed with the Saints for one more year, hinting it will be his last.
While the word “retirement” hasn’t been formally stated, Jordan expressed his intention to make this season a memorable one. He discussed his enthusiasm over the phone with Fox News Digital while preparing to join fellow pass rushers at the annual Sack Summit in Las Vegas.
“Do I feel good? Absolutely. Do I feel better not being part of OTAs? Physically, yes,” Jordan stated. Known for his openness, Jordan showed readiness to adapt to any role for the Saints. Despite skepticism about his use of a two-point stance, his results were impressive during last season.
“I can do whatever needs to be done,”
Jordan said, attributing his success to his ability to adjust to the Saints’ strategies crafted by first-year head coach Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Brandon Staley. As he enters his final season, his ambition hasn’t dulled. The Saints, packed with potential, fuel Jordan’s desire to win a Super Bowl.
“The ultimate dream is to win a Super Bowl,” Jordan mentioned. He emphasized the importance of achieving this team goal, connecting personal football success with winning the championship.
Until now, Jordan has remained loyal to Louisiana, since being drafted as the 24th overall pick by the Saints in 2011. With 132 sacks to his name, ranking 17th most in NFL history, he aims to finish this season strong, aspiring to record double digits in sacks for the eighth time, which would place him among the top 10 all-time.
Jordan feels his Hall of Fame eligibility is secure. He pondered whether his speech in Canton, Ohio, will mention “Super Bowl champion,” reflecting on his aspirations. “What else is there to chase,” Jordan questioned, having achieved personal milestones such as All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections.
As Jordan turns 37, he stands ready to make his final push towards a Super Bowl victory, before closing this chapter of his career.
