Despite these rankings, Jackson remains a significant presence in the league. During his seven-season career, he has achieved accolades such as two league MVP awards, demonstrating his substantial talent. His performance in regular seasons has often been dominant, leading to consistently high MVP odds.
However, arguments against Jackson’s inclusion in the top 10 have emerged. Last season, his output diminished, evidenced by an average of 196.1 passing yards per game, fewer than some mid-tier quarterbacks like Michael Penix Jr. and Geno Smith. Projected over 17 games, his 21 touchdown passes fell into a league-average range. His rushing ability decreased as well, with only 349 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Injuries may have impacted these statistics, potentially explaining his reduced effectiveness.
