eMed CEO Linda Yaccarino and Chief Wellness Officer Tom Brady aim to transform healthcare access by expanding availability of GLP-1 medications. Yaccarino notes eMed’s 90% adherence rate, driven by AI and clinical support, to tackle chronic diseases such as heart and liver conditions. Brady underscores the significance of health and wellness, focusing on democratizing essential medical treatments and promoting long-term behavioral change among employees.
Brady, renowned for his Hall of Fame football career, expects Las Vegas Raiders rookie Fernando Mendoza to prove himself in a similar manner. In an interview with Liz Claman on FOX Business’ “The Claman Countdown,” Brady expressed that for Mendoza, and all young rookies, earning their place matters more than offseason speculation. “Well, I love Fernando, but Fernando is like every other young rookie,” Brady stated.
“He’s got to go out there and earn it like everybody else… none of these young players, none of the rookies have ever had a meaningful snap in the NFL.”
Brady highlights the importance of hard work and resilience. “Their career and journey will be determined by the work they put in, by the adversities they overcome, by the kind of teammate and team player that they are,” noted Brady.
Brady applies this mindset to his role with eMed. As Chief Wellness Officer, he aims to offer everyday Americans the health guidance that benefited him during his career. “My body truly was my asset as a football player,” Brady remarked. “So you’re right, I was lucky over time to learn disciplines that allowed me to feel healthy, energized, and ready to win.”
Reflecting on life post-retirement, Brady aims to extend his health blueprint to those without an NFL-level support system. “When I retired, I realized many people might not be professional athletes, but we all live athletic lifestyles to some degree,” he said. “We want to be healthy, to play with our kids and grandkids.”
Brady appreciates the positive effects of GLP-1 medications in initiating health improvement. “There’s no debate about how this medicine works in getting people started on their wellness journey,” Brady observed. “And we excel at keeping them on that journey.”
For Brady, achieving success in health, like in quarterbacking, depends on mastering fundamentals. “I realized that many values I held as an NFL player transition well to the workforce,” explained Brady. “It’s about accountability, discipline, and serving others.”
