Dakich questions why White didn’t defend her top player robustly and points out the absence of substantial support from the league, even though Congress is involved.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Fever continued their winning streak with a significant 123-88 victory over the Connecticut Sun. This marked the team’s third consecutive win. Caitlin Clark, recently named as an NBA 2K27 cover athlete, was instrumental in the win, scoring 27 points and recording 11 assists, achieving another double-double. Kelsey Mitchell contributed with 23 points, while Aliyah Boston, the first pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, added 22 points for the team.
The game also saw the Fever setting a franchise record for the highest number of points scored in a single game, leading 70-46 at halftime.
