Road Rage Incident Captured on Video in North Carolina

A mother recorded a road rage incident on a North Carolina interstate. The altercation involved another driver who allegedly cut her off, brake-checked her, and made threats while her 3-year-old son cried in the back seat. Myeka Dunn shared her experience with FOX8 WGHP, noting the event occurred around 4:30 p.m. on a Friday.

Dunn was driving to drop her son at her mother’s house when a dark blue sedan swerved into her lane. After she honked, the situation escalated. The driver attempted to cut her off repeatedly and directed violent threats at her.

“They almost hit me, so that’s when I honked at them,” Dunn stated.

Dunn began recording when the driver followed her down the highway. The video shows the driver leaning out and yelling, “You are going to die!” Her toddler can be heard crying in the background. The driver’s threats continued with, “I could kill you! I could kill you!”

Dunn noted that her car windows were slightly open, allowing the driver to see her child, yet he disregarded this. She contacted 911 and the Guilford Metro non-emergency line, providing video evidence but expressed frustration over the response.

Christine Moore, Deputy Director of Operations, revealed to FOX8 WGHP that protocols were not fully followed. While a Be-On-the-Lookout (BOLO) alert was issued, essential information, including the video, was not communicated properly.

The Greensboro Police Department reported issuing a BOLO after reports of the dark blue sedan’s erratic behavior. They identified the driver but have yet to make an arrest. Dunn was informed about obtaining a misdemeanor warrant through the Magistrate’s Office since the incident occurred without police presence.

Dunn also communicated with WRAL News about pursuing a misdemeanor warrant against the driver.
