Moscow has escalated its attacks on Kyiv recently, often using hard-to-intercept ballistic missiles in rapid assaults. The strikes on Brovary district resulted in three fatalities and wounded three others, stated Tymur Tkachenko, head of the regional military administration, via Telegram.
Debris from the attack triggered fires near Kyiv on Saturday, August 8. The Ukrainian State Emergency Service displayed pictures of a building engulfed in flames, noting the destruction of a two-story house, two vehicles, and a warehouse fire in Pukhivka village.
An AFP reporter reported hearing several explosions in the capital as Ukraine’s air force alerted to the potential use of northern-origin ballistic weapons. Kyiv’s military administration noted four injuries from overnight attacks, urging residents to seek shelter during the air raid alert due to ballistic missile use.
