Clark expressed her relief after the game, stating, “It wasn’t intentional.” The incident took place during a match against the Chicago Sky. Clark accidentally bumped into a referee, earning the technical foul in the third quarter. Despite the drama, the Fever secured a 90-86 victory on the road.

Amid this situation, Clark also made history in the WNBA during the game. She finished the game with 26 points, four rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, and one block. Her teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, added 27 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.
Clark and Mitchell tied the WNBA record for the second-most 25-point games by a duo. The game marked the eighth time they both scored over 25 points in a single game. In their last 10 games, they scored a combined 516 points, setting a new record for a duo in a 10-game series.
