Widespread Recall of Jalapeño-Containing Foods Due to Salmonella Outbreak

Taylor Farms has initiated a recall of various prepared products containing jalapeños, such as dips, salsa, and guacamole. This action comes as a salmonella outbreak linked to peppers from Mexico spreads across the U.S. food supply.

The recall is part of efforts to contain the outbreak that has affected multiple states. Health officials are working to identify the extent of the contamination and prevent further cases.

Earlier, the company also recalled iceberg lettuce, which was associated with the largest cyclospora outbreak reported in the United States. These recalls highlight ongoing challenges in ensuring food safety within the supply chain.
