David Gyuro, age 29, has cherished memories of riding alongside his father in a 1970 Pontiac Firebird. Recently, he was given the opportunity to own this very car, a chance he eagerly accepted in January.
Gyuro’s main objective is to restore the car to its former glory, matching its condition as seen in a 1978 photograph of his father, then in high school, sitting proudly on the car’s fender. For him, this project is not about the rarity or fanciness of the vehicle. Instead, it is deeply meaningful for what the car represents to him and his family.
