Abdul El-Sayed, Bernie Sanders and co. hand the GOP a gift by backing a plan that would do away with popular coverage.

When Abdul El-Sayed became Michigan’s Democratic Senate nominee last week, his Republican opponent, Mike Rogers, immediately attacked his views. Rogers criticized El-Sayed for what he termed “ideological fanaticism” concerning crime, terrorism, and taxes. However, Rogers did not address El-Sayed’s endorsement of Medicare-for-all. This proposal suggests the federal government take on a dominant role, effectively becoming the primary provider of health insurance.
