Sydney Sweeney has issued a friendly challenge to Tom Cruise after performing a daring airplane stunt. On Monday, Sweeney shared a video on social media, capturing herself atop a moving airplane equipped with a GoPro camera. The footage showed the “Euphoria” actress strapped to a single-engine plane as it flipped upside down several times.
Sweeney captioned her post, “watch out tom cruise,” playfully referencing Cruise’s renowned status as one of Hollywood’s leading stunt performers. She donned casual leggings and a navy crew neck, with her hair in pigtail braids, maintaining composure during the aerial maneuvers.
The official Top Gun Instagram account responded to Sweeney’s post with enthusiasm, writing, “Feel the need for speed.” The post included fiery emojis and applauding hands, highlighting the connection to Cruise’s iconic role.
Prior to the airplane stunt, Sweeney offered a glimpse into her summer activities via social media. Spending time with boyfriend Scooter Braun, she commemorated their getaway with an earlier Instagram post captioned “Camp ’26,” alongside a superhero emoji.
In another snapshot, Sweeney and Braun embraced a superhero theme for their lakeside retreat. Sweeney donned a Wonder Woman-inspired corset and headband, while Braun sported a Superman costume. Their adventure included balancing on an inflatable water obstacle course, swimming, enjoying sunny weather, and singing karaoke.
The couple first attracted attention in 2025 when romance rumors surfaced after reportedly meeting at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding. Sweeney confirmed their relationship in April 2026 with an Instagram photo of Braun embracing her.
