Trey McBride Rises to No. 13 in NFL Top 100

Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals has achieved a remarkable climb in the NFL Top 100 list for the upcoming season, reaching No. 13 as determined by votes from fellow active NFL players.

During a media session at the Cardinals’ training camp, the Pro Bowl tight end shared his reaction to the news, expressing excitement over the higher placement. Last year, he was ranked 65th, marking a substantial improvement.

McBride revealed that he learned about his ranking “a while back,” adding that the anticipation had been thrilling. “To be the 13th, wow, some of those names in front of me, some of those names behind me, there’s some really good players,” he said. He expressed gratitude for the recognition from his teammates and competitors, calling his spot on the list a “dream come true.”

This achievement follows a standout season for the Cardinals, where McBride recorded personal bests with 126 receptions, 1,239 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns. These performances earned McBride his second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance, establishing him as one of the premier tight ends in the league.

With stars like Rob Gronkowski retired and Travis Kelce nearing the end of his career, McBride has an opportunity to become a central figure in the NFL spotlight. This season, McBride will play without Kyler Murray as quarterback, as Murray now plays for the Minnesota Vikings. Instead, veteran Jacoby Brissett takes over as Arizona’s QB1. Additionally, with the high draft pick of running back Jeremiyah Love, he becomes a key component of the offense. Observers will watch closely to see whether McBride maintains his impressive stats or experiences a decline.
