A 73-year-old man from Mahopac, Craig K. Streeter, has been missing for over three weeks after his RV was found abandoned at a remote campsite in the Adirondack Mountains, upstate New York. Authorities, including state troopers, are involved in the search effort.
According to the New York State Police (NYSP), Streeter was last spotted on August 2 at a Stewart’s Shop in Indian Lake. Although it is normal for him to occasionally disconnect from communication, the extended period of absence is concerning.
Authorities have been searching for him since New York State Forest Rangers discovered his RV at campsite 36 on Moose River Road in the town of Inlet, showing no sign of recent activity.
When law enforcement was unable to locate Streeter initially, they expanded the search, deploying various agencies in the effort. The NYSP stated that the search continues and involves multiple coordinated parties.
As of now, police reports have not indicated any signs of foul play. Streeter was last seen wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and jeans before he left the store in his RV.
Authorities are appealing to the public for information. They seek input from anyone who may have encountered Streeter along Moose River Road or in nearby camping regions. Individuals with details are encouraged to contact New York State Police at 518-897-2000.
