The illustrious NFL pass rusher, Aaron Donald, has made a remarkable return to the NFL, joining the Los Angeles Rams. On Sunday, he signed a one-year contract worth $20 million with the team he once thrived with.
The Rams, a team already stacked with talent, are seen as top contenders for the Super Bowl. With Donald’s return, their prospects have soared even higher. Expectations for the team have grown substantially.
During the Monday morning “First Take” episode on ESPN, commentator Stephen A. Smith emphasized that for the Rams, reaching the Super Bowl is imperative. “The lone justification for the Rams not reaching the Super Bowl would be health,” Smith stated. “Injuries are inherent to the NFL, posing a potential threat to any team’s success. However, with a healthy roster, there’s no justification for the Los Angeles Rams not securing the Super Bowl title.”
Besides Donald, the Rams boast the current NFL MVP, Matthew Stafford, and the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett. These players provide additional strength to an already formidable lineup.
Los Angeles will begin its regular season with a Week 1 clash against the San Francisco 49ers on September 10.
