Educators have an opportunity to address artificial intelligence directly by recognizing its limitations. While AI excels at pattern recognition, it lacks the ability to daydream, embody other people, or express itself authentically.
The idea of human thought becoming obsolete or viewed as inferior due to AI advancements can be unsettling. However, despite its challenges, AI cannot be ignored or dismissed. It is a permanent fixture in our lives, and I aim for my students to grasp the importance of not becoming overly dependent on this technology.
