Kelani Jordan’s Wrestling Achievements and Upcoming Challenges

WWE’s NXT star Kelani Jordan has achieved an outstanding milestone in her wrestling career, adding more accolades to her name just four years after joining the company and training at the Performance Center. She became the first NXT Women’s North American Champion and captured the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Knockouts Championship. Recently, at the Heatwave event, she triumphed over Kendal Grey to claim her first NXT Women’s Championship opportunity.

In an interview with OutKick Dropkick, Jordan reflected on her accomplishments. She expressed immense satisfaction and saw her achievements as a reminder that she is a formidable talent in the wrestling world. Jordan stated, “It feels great. It’s a good reminder, especially during moments of doubt, that I was the first NXT Women’s North American Champion and a TNA Knockouts Champion. Now, as the NXT Women’s Champion, I recognize my talent and abilities.”

Over the past year, Jordan has worked hard to earn respect from fans and her fellow wrestlers. In May, she confidently claimed superiority over all the women who transitioned to Raw and SmackDown after WrestleMania 42. Now, with the NXT Women’s Championship belt, she has undeniable proof of her prowess.

Jordan addressed the respect she’s gained among her peers, acknowledging the target that comes with holding a championship. She stated, “I know there’s a target on my back, and being the champion makes it even bigger. But having the title gives you additional respect because it validates your work. As a champion, I have something tangible that exemplifies my success.”

On Tuesday night, Jaida Parker emerged as Jordan’s first challenger. Parker is fresh off a significant victory in a submission match against Nattie at Heatwave, establishing herself as a deserving contender. Jordan commented on Parker’s challenge, noting the history they share. She recognized Parker’s competitive spirit but remained confident in her own abilities, stating, “I know Jaida will bring a strong fight. She’s great at talking, but I excel not only in speaking but also in action. I’m ready for Jaida’s strategies.”

The match between Jordan and Parker for the NXT Women’s Championship is scheduled for this coming Tuesday on the CW Network.
