On September 6, 2026, all flights heading into Miami International Airport were halted due to a disabled aircraft. This information was confirmed by the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) airport status information website.
Several videos on social media depict smoke rising from an aircraft with an Amazon logo visible on one of its wings. The aircraft appears to be on a roadway.
“21 Air Flight 7598 overran the runway after landing at Miami International Airport around 2 p.m. local time,” the FAA informed Newsweek through an emailed statement. “The Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft had taken off from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.”
The FAA announced it would investigate the incident and suggested consulting the airline for further details.
As of now, there is no information about any injuries or fatalities related to this incident.
