Acton’s campaign highlighted the swift response by law enforcement. Dr. Acton and her partner, Eric, expressed gratitude for their quick action. They also conveyed hopes for the recovery of those injured.
Governor Mike DeWine confirmed Dr. Acton was unharmed. He communicated with her after the incident. DeWine expressed relief and shared that Acton wished Ohioans to know she is okay. He condemned such violence at public events and stated law enforcement would thoroughly investigate.
