Country singer Brian ‘Nashville’ Duckworth passed away at the age of 56 at his home on September 7. An obituary from his family shared the news.
Duckworth, who was affectionately nicknamed ‘Truck Boss,’ pursued a career in country music while working as a devoted dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating. Duckworth’s family was part of his band, Taylor Made. They expressed that he enjoyed his job because it allowed him to be outdoors.
Music was an essential part of Duckworth’s life. He was passionate about singing and performed with his family band. He never missed a chance to showcase his voice, earning him the nickname ‘Nashville.’
Duckworth began his musical journey with his brother Greg and sister Wendy Williams. The trio formed a band called I-79 in 2008, debuting at the Colgate Country Showdown. They later renamed the band Taylor Made and enjoyed success with songs like ‘Things You Don’t Grow Out Of,’ which peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Indicator chart.
He is survived by his wife Tina, their six children, and four grandchildren. His obituary highlighted that he cherished the time spent creating family memories and loved his loyal pets.
In a touching tribute, his niece Brianna Duckworth Kazner shared a video from her wedding on her Facebook page, lamenting that it was the last time Taylor Made performed together. She fondly recalled watching her father, Aunt Wendy, and Uncle Brian perform at fairs and festivals and valued the songwriting advice her uncle provided.
While the cause of death wasn’t mentioned, Duckworth will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Garden on Monday.
