Sean Connery first portrayed Bond on-screen. Following him, six actors embraced the role: David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. The most recent film, “No Time to Die,” debuted in 2021 with Craig’s fifth performance as Bond.
The film series sustains Bond’s cultural relevance years after the peak of the novels. Valued at over $19 billion, the franchise awaits a successor to Craig, continuing its storied legacy.
