Investigation Into Rep. Ilhan Omar Underway by Homeland Security

White House border czar Tom Homan revealed on “The Sunday Briefing” that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is investigating U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., although details of the inquiry remain confidential. When questioned about evidence of immigration or naturalization fraud by Omar, Homan chose not to comment.

He stated, “I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening. If someone committed an immigration violation or marriage fraud, regardless of their status, no one’s above the law.” Homan emphasized that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) would continue their examination.

Media coverage has frequently brought up accusations that Omar married her brother to facilitate an immigration scheme. Despite her denials, these claims persist, with no definitive proof in public records. Omar has dismissed these allegations as “bigoted lies,” attributing the rumors to former President Trump’s fixation on her.

In a podcast, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin commented on the situation, suggesting she married her brother to bring him to the U.S., where he now reportedly resides in London. Mullin hinted at possible illegal activities relating to family migration.

Vice President JD Vance stated in May that the Justice Department was investigating whether Omar committed immigration fraud, acknowledging suspicions but stressing that everyone deserves equal justice. Earlier, in a March podcast, Vance mentioned discussing potential legal action against Omar with White House immigration advisor Stephen Miller.

The denaturalization process for proven cases of immigration fraud is a serious matter, Homan explained. He underscored that dishonesty in obtaining citizenship can lead to denaturalization, a process conducted many times over the past four decades.

Fox News Digital reached out to Omar’s office for a comment, but any response remains to be disclosed.
