Kristaps Porzingis Addresses Health Concerns and Social Media Speculation

Kristaps Porzingis of the Golden State Warriors is currently out due to an unspecified health issue. Despite his absence, he remains grateful for the support from NBA fans. Recently, Porzingis addressed unfounded rumors on social media about contracting HIV or AIDS.

Porzingis has missed the Warriors’ training camp and, with the regular season approaching, his situation remains a concern for many. Although he hasn’t revealed the exact nature of his health condition, Porzingis shared on social media that he is collaborating with doctors and experts to regain full health. He mentioned feeling increasingly better but stressed the need for patience, especially given his history of injuries.

“Hello people, I’m working with doctors and experts to figure out how to be fully back to good health asap. Honestly, I’m getting better and better,” he wrote on X. “I just have to stay patient, and I believe I’ll be feeling great again soon.”

Porzingis also addressed misinformation from self-proclaimed “internet doctors,” asking them to calm down since he is under professional care. He explicitly denied having HIV or AIDS.

Porzingis signed a $40 million extension with the Warriors this offseason, aware of his health challenges. Out of the $20 million for the upcoming season, only $3 million is guaranteed. His past with the Boston Celtics involved an upper respiratory virus, which he hinted had a prolonged impact on his court time. Last season, he played 34 games between the Atlanta Hawks and the Warriors.

He has been in regular contact with Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and Rick Celebrini, the team’s director of sports medicine. Despite ongoing speculation, Porzingis focuses on returning to play, attempting to reduce unnecessary noise around his situation.
