Dear Eric: I am the eldest among three siblings. Recently, the middle sibling, who often visits our youngest sibling’s home for child care, voiced concerns to our parents about the safety and state of disarray in the home.
The home has always been cluttered, but it seems the situation has worsened. During my last visit, I noticed similar conditions. At that time, I chose to view it as a temporary situation due to a potentially busy period.
My parents and I have not been there lately, partly to avoid the mess. However, the recent comments from my middle sibling indicate that the clutter might now pose a safety risk.
