Private Plane Crash in Florida Linked to Delaware LLC

A private plane crashed into a Florida neighborhood on Sunday, raising intrigue due to its registration with a Delaware-based limited liability company. This company has associations with various businesses, including those of President Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to records.

The Learjet 60 aircraft, carrying nine individuals, collided with a roadway in Palm Beach County at around 12:50 p.m. All on board tragically perished. The jet—bearing the tail number N722BD—departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Texas, and aimed to reach the Bahamas, as airport officials confirmed to Newsweek.

The only other information we can confirm is that this was a general aviation flight and not a commercial flight,” Austin-Bergstrom International Airport spokesman Jim Reynolds stated. “We do not have access to information regarding passenger and crew identity, aircraft history, ownership, and the operator of the aircraft.

FAA records show the jet was under the ownership of LR60271 LLC, located at 1209 N. Orange Street, Wilmington, Delaware. This address is renowned among corporations due to Delaware’s favorable tax and privacy laws. The Learjet 60 was officially registered in January 2023, valid until January 2030.

The White House directed inquiries to the Trump Organization, but they have yet to respond. Attempts to contact the Clinton Foundation by Newsweek have also been made.

Known as the Corporation Trust Center (CTC), this site serves as a registered address for significant companies like Apple, eBay, Walmart, and over 300,000 other corporations. More than half of the Fortune 500 companies are registered in Delaware. In 2016, The Guardian explored this address, noting Trump’s and Clinton’s links through their registered companies.

Shortly after stepping down as Secretary of State in February 2013, Clinton established ZFS Holdings LLC at CTC. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had earlier set up WJC LLC in 2008 for consultancy payments. In 2014, Hillary Clinton earned over $16 million via the LLC from speaking engagements and book royalties.

Trump entities also have registrations at CTC, including Trump International Management Corp. Of the 515 companies listed on Trump’s 2016 Federal Election Commission filing, 378 were registered in Delaware. The Department of Justice’s records cite the CTC address over 100 times concerning Jeffrey Epstein, though there is no linked evidence to his alleged activities.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has scheduled a briefing on Monday in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, to discuss the crash investigation.

The New York Post identified the co-pilot as Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20, who had acquired her pilot license during high school. Other victims’ identities remain undisclosed, and the reasons for the crash are still being analyzed.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reported from the crash location, stating no additional injuries occurred. “It was a cataclysmic plane crash,” he remarked. “It seemed like a missile, leaving a substantial crater beside the road.”

At the time of the incident, the aircraft was traveling east at approximately 35,000 feet. Turbulence, ice, and precipitation compelled the pilots to request an altitude increase. Data reveals the jet subsequently nosedived, descending at times by up to 30,000 feet per minute. The pilot, declaring an emergency, mentioned ice formation and severe turbulence, affecting the plane by about 700 feet.
