However, the debate over car ownership rights has now come to the forefront of political discussions. The right argues that traffic restrictions are an infringement on personal freedoms. Berlin is known for its eco-friendly initiatives, including numerous bike lanes and a robust public transport system. Recently, these green efforts have intensified. Many residents have signed a petition to limit private vehicle entry into the congested city center to just twelve visits annually per person.
