Starting June 1, passengers in the Boston area will have a new option to navigate airport security more efficiently. A pilot program provides a way to bypass crowded departure terminals and security lanes.
On May 19, 2026, at 2:21 p.m. EDT, the Massachusetts Port Authority announced the opening of the nation’s first remote TSA checkpoint site. This innovative facility is part of Boston Logan International Airport and aims to ease airport congestion.
Located in Framingham, Mass., this remote terminal will serve as an extension of the airport’s existing infrastructure. Ticket reservations for this service opened yesterday, marking the first step towards a smoother travel experience for passengers.
