Filming in Texas presents unique challenges, particularly for the cast of ‘Dutton Ranch.’ During an interview on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Cole Hauser shared his experience with co-star Kelly Reilly about the large number of rattlesnakes encountered. Hauser revealed that over eight months, the crew came across 3,400 rattlesnakes in Fort Worth.
Kelly Reilly questioned Hauser about their experience near a rattlesnake den. He recounted an incident where filming was halted at night after their director, Christina, discovered around 40 to 50 rattlesnakes at the site.
Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, often faces challenging filming conditions, not unique to him among Taylor Sheridan’s productions. Michelle Pfeiffer spoke on the LA Times podcast “In Conversation: The Madison,” about difficulties encountered while shooting in Montana and Texas. Pfeiffer described filming outdoors without conveniences like bathrooms, air conditioning, or plumbing.
Filming for ‘The Madison,’ starring Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn, involved working on set without trailers. Shooting at 360 degrees eliminated space for amenities, leaving the cast with few places to sit. Pfeiffer detailed the lack of food and shelter during unpredictable weather, with no heat in winter or shade during summer.
These insights reveal the demanding environment and logistical issues faced by `Dutton Ranch` and `The Madison` crews while filming. Despite these hurdles, the actors maintain their commitment to their roles in these productions.
