Trump’s Ultimatum to Iran Sparks Tension

President Trump has issued an ultimatum to Iran, urging the nation to comply with his demands on its nuclear program or face renewed conflict. Despite these threats, Iran has held its ground against U.S. pressure.

In a social media statement, Trump warned, “Iran had to move fast or there won’t be anything left,” emphasizing that “the Clock is Ticking.” Although he did not provide a specific deadline, similar warnings have been made in the past without subsequent action.

Negotiations between the United States and Iran have reached an impasse. Trump has cautioned that military action could resume if Iran does not agree to terms laid out by the U.S.

Iran has steadfastly rejected U.S. conditions, which include curbing uranium enrichment and agreeing not to obstruct the Strait of Hormuz. This strategic passage is vital for oil and gas shipping, and tensions have impacted global markets, driving oil prices higher.

On Monday, Iran announced it submitted another counterproposal to the U.S. Talks are ongoing, mediated by Pakistan. Despite tensions, communication channels between the two nations remain open.

Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry, responded to Trump’s threats with calm defiance. He stated, “Don’t worry, we know very well how to respond.” Although he provided no details, Iran has previously pledged strong retaliation if attacked by the U.S. or Israel.
