Chicago police are conducting a death investigation following the discovery of a man’s body in a garbage container. The body was found on Saturday afternoon in an alley located in the 4700 block of West Arthington Street in the Austin neighborhood.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 1:30 p.m. The man’s identity remains unknown, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled for Sunday to determine the cause of death.
Police have not released information about the condition of the body or any visible signs of trauma. Detectives from the Harrison Area are actively handling the investigation.
