Rhea Ripley demonstrated her dominance in the wrestling ring on Sunday during the Clash in Italy event. She successfully defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill. The match took place at the Inalpi Arena in Torino di Sangro, Italy, on May 31, 2026.
Cargill displayed confidence and skill, executing moves and taunting Ripley with push-ups. Despite her efforts to reclaim the title she lost at WrestleMania 42, Cargill found Ripley to be a formidable opponent.
The match saw intense competition as both athletes went head-to-head for several minutes. The dynamics changed when Cargill’s associates intervened. B-Fab disrupted Ripley’s pin attempt by placing Cargill’s foot on the rope.
Charlotte Flair then emerged from the stands, neutralizing B-Fab and Michin. She also interrupted Cargill’s pin attempt after a strong move, Jaded.
Taking advantage of the situation, Ripley struck Cargill with a headbutt, followed by her signature move, the Riptide, securing the victory. Flair, watching from the side, engaged in a long stare as Cargill exited the ring.
Ripley and Flair share a notable history, highlighted by their memorable match at WrestleMania 39. Their bond has grown during Ripley’s rivalry with Cargill, yet their alliance remains tentative.
As SummerSlam approaches, scheduled for a two-night event in Minneapolis, Flair may soon aim for her own chance at the WWE Women’s Championship.
