A 36-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train on Wednesday night. This incident occurred in the Loop neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The confrontation began shortly before 7:30 p.m. as the train traveled near the 500 block of South LaSalle Street. During the fight, the victim was stabbed in the neck and the left side of his body with a sharp object. Police reports indicate that the assailant fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Emergency responders took the injured man to Stroger Hospital. Medical staff listed him in fair condition. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and detectives are actively pursuing leads to identify and locate the suspect involved in the attack.
