Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with an impressive performance, notching 32 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Notably, Wembanyama missed a potential game-winner in Game 2 but was pivotal in Game 3. His teammates, De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle, also contributed significantly, landing crucial shots.
The Spurs’ early game dominance was expected given the stakes. They pulled ahead with an 11-point lead at the end of the first quarter. Wembanyama scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting, while Castle added seven points, hitting three out of three shots.

The Knicks’ defense faltered in the fourth quarter, leading to foul trouble that allowed the Spurs to capitalize. Wembanyama used these opportunities to extend the lead to eight points.
The Spurs held the advantage with timely defensive plays, countering the Knicks’ three-point attempts effectively. Wembanyama’s block on Landry Shamet’s attempt epitomized their defensive strength.
Castle sealed the victory with a three-pointer and crucial free throws in the closing moments. His performance included 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting, adding five rebounds and five assists. Every Spurs starter contributed with double-digit points.
The Knicks’ effort was led by Anunoby, ending with 28 points on impressive shooting percentages. However, Landry Shamet struggled, hitting only one shot out of eight attempts.
