2026 World Cup Venues Across North America

Introduction

The 2026 World Cup will take place across 16 stadiums spread throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. FIFA has temporarily renamed many of these stadiums for the tournament since companies owning naming rights are not FIFA sponsors.

Kansas City Stadium

Formerly known as Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City Stadium is preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The stadium can host 73,000 attendees, although FIFA states this figure is subject to change.

Located 8.5 miles from downtown Kansas City, Missouri, Arrowhead Stadium has been home to the NFL’s Chiefs since 1972. It offers no rail access, but $15 round trip shuttle buses are available on match days. This venue, adjacent to Kauffman Stadium, was scheduled to host the 2015 Super Bowl until a sales-tax proposal failed to fund a rolling roof. Guinness World Records reports it set a record at 142.2 decibels for crowd noise during a Chiefs game.

Matches include Argentina vs. Algeria (June 16) among others, concluding with a quarterfinal on July 11. The Chiefs plan to move to a domed stadium in Kansas City, Kansas by 2031.
