Skepticism Surrounds U.S.-Iran Peace Deal

The vice president has been given the difficult task of guiding a regime towards peace. Many are skeptical of the proposed, though not yet finalized, agreement between the United States and Iran.

Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy to the Middle East, was seen with Vice President JD Vance at a UFC event held on the White House’s South Lawn.

People have heard similar promises before. By one account, the president indicated a looming peace deal at least 38 times between February 28 and June 9. Some see this as more than just repetitive rhetoric.
