Authorities have disclosed new information about an alleged terror plot targeting a UFC event close to the White House. Five suspects were arrested across four different states. They were accused of planning attacks involving explosive drones and snipers. During the investigation, officials seized guns, ammunition, tactical gear, and screenshots of possible targets from phones.
Prosecutors described the plot as a ‘mass casualty event’ aimed at President Donald Trump and other officials during the UFC Freedom 250 event. All suspects’ mugshots have been made public, including one where the accused smiled for the camera.
The arrests were part of a multi-state operation. They involved a plan using explosive-laden drones, sniper teams, and safe houses. This was intended to support an assault during the event.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro stated that her office is not handling this case, even though the event targeted was at the White House.
Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, from Nebraska, was identified as the alleged leader of the operation. Despite the targeting of a White House event in Washington, D.C., Pirro expressed that without activity in the district, her office lacks jurisdiction.
Involved Suspects and Allegations
- Tycen Proper, 19, from Ohio, allegedly compiled a target list of 46 individuals and spent thousands on weapons and gear using graduation money.
- Bryan Omar Roa, 24, from California, is accused of engaging in encrypted group chats, planning the operation. He faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
- Michael Alan Thomas, 32, from California, participated in discussions about breaking out co-conspirators if arrested. He faces similar charges.
- Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, from Missouri, offered his property as a safe house and discussed building a bunker beneath his shed.
The plot included plans for drone attacks over the crowded event aimed at forcing evacuations to sniper-covered exits. The group discussed needing military ordnance after realizing they could not make explosives.
The criminal proceedings continue as federal authorities further investigate the intentions and capabilities of the accused.
