The New York Knicks have confirmed their plan to visit the White House to celebrate their recent NBA championship. Team owner James Dolan announced this on WFAN New York’s ‘The Carton Show.’ The Knicks have received and accepted an invitation from the White House, although details such as the date and the number of participants are still being arranged.
President Donald Trump was present at the Knicks’ Game 3 matchup against the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden. This game marked the only loss for the Knicks in their series, as they went on to secure the NBA Championship with a 4-1 victory.
The Seattle Seahawks, who won the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots on February 8, face uncertainty regarding a potential White House visit. So far, no formal arrangements have been announced, and inquiries to the White House have yielded no updates. The Philadelphia Eagles managed a timely visit in 2025 shortly after their Super Bowl victory, but Seattle’s offseason has ended, making an immediate visit challenging.
The Seahawks’ next gathering will occur in late July, coinciding with the start of their training camp. Any chance for a White House visit is slim as coordinating such an event during training or offseason is quite complex. The possibility of a visit during the regular NFL season exists when the Seahawks play the Washington Commanders on September 27; however, logistical complications may discourage this option.
If the Seahawks cannot make the visit happen, the question remains why the White House has not arranged a more feasible solution. In 2018, a similar situation unfolded with the Eagles, suggesting that miscommunications or scheduling conflicts could be at play.
Armando Salguero, OutKick’s Senior NFL Writer, suggests that disrupting regular travel schedules may deter NFL teams, as coaches prefer to maintain focus on upcoming games, treating them strictly as business trips.
