President Trump Hopes for Breakthrough in Nancy Guthrie Case

President Donald Trump has shown optimism that investigators find Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of Savannah Guthrie, co-host of the “Today” show. The case of the Arizona woman continues to attract attention nearly five months after her disappearance.

During a press event at Reading Regional Airport in Pennsylvania, Trump expressed his hopes. He stated, “I hope they find her. That family has gone through hell.” His comments follow Savannah Guthrie’s public appeals for information on her mother’s whereabouts.

A sign declaring “Nancy Guthrie Desparecida” was installed by Madres Buscadoras De Sonora about a mile from her Tucson home. Savannah Guthrie announced a $1 million reward for information leading to her mother’s discovery.

On Tuesday’s “Today” show, Savannah Guthrie encouraged people with knowledge of the case to contact authorities. She conveyed, “Somebody knows something. We are in agony.” Her appeals follow reports of a second ransom note claiming Nancy Guthrie died shortly post-abduction from her home in Catalina Foothills.

A federal law enforcement source shared with Fox News that the note suggested Guthrie was “buried with nature.” This communication did not request payment but expressed remorse, an unusual characteristic in authentic ransom demands.

Authorities have yet to verify the authenticity of these notes. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos mentioned investigators have reviewed numerous communications, distinguishing some fraudulent from potentially credible ones. Despite extensive investigations by the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Office, Guthrie remains missing.

Savannah Guthrie persists in her family’s search for answers. She vowed, “We love our mom. We’ll never stop looking for her, never.”
