Hayden Panettiere, known for her roles in Heroes and Nashville, tragically passed away at the age of 36. Her father described her as a remarkable light, bringing love and joy to those around her and millions of viewers.

Panettiere is survived by her daughter, Kaya, whom she had with Wladimir Klitschko, a Ukrainian boxer. Earlier this year, in May 2026, Panettiere published her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning. It detailed her journey from a child star to adult fame, while discussing personal issues such as postpartum depression, alcoholism, and a history of an abusive relationship.
Her brother, Jansen Panettiere, also an actor, died in 2023 at 28.

Her last post on Instagram was shared on July 27. The black-and-white photo featured her playfully winking at the camera beside photographer Randall Slavin. The caption read, “Good times and good friends @randallslavin.” Slavin reposted it, adding, “Peace be with you, H.”
