Ongoing Investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance

The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has been a high-profile case for over 21 weeks. The FBI and Google were involved in the recovery of Nest doorbell video footage. Two men were questioned but later released without charges. Despite investigating thousands of tips, Guthrie remains missing.

The Search Continues

Herman Weisberg, a former NYPD detective now managing director at SAGE Intelligence, emphasized persistence in the investigation. He told Fox News Digital that a single phone call could provide the breakthrough needed. Weisberg highlighted the importance of not dismissing any tip too quickly, noting, “The 7,001st call could be the one.”

In a plea for public help, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have used social media to reach out for any information about their mother’s case. Weisberg believes public interest can be crucial, citing other cases like Gabby Petito’s, where civilian involvement was key.

Crowdsourcing and Public Involvement

Crowdsourcing has played a significant role in solving similar cases, including the Boston Marathon bombing and Elizabeth Smart’s abduction. Weisberg noted that public tips often lead to pivotal information.

He also expressed surprise that digital forensics has not yet solved this case. Unlike the Kohberger case in Idaho, technological breakthroughs remain elusive here. Weisberg speculated that this might be due to unique circumstances of the crime.

Continuing Efforts

Weisberg suggested investigators might be more advanced in their efforts than publicly known. Possibilities remain that they are actively following leads. The Guthrie family continues to ask for public tips, offering a reward exceeding $1.2 million for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s recovery.

Savannah Guthrie urges anyone with information to contact authorities. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Tucson’s Crime Stoppers at 1-520-882-7463. This ongoing investigation remains open to public contribution.
