On Friday night, numerous notable athletes and sports figures gathered in New York City to celebrate the wedding of pop icon Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce. The event took place at Madison Square Garden and drew plenty of attention.
Among the guests were Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly. The couple was seen leaving their hotel, heading towards the wedding venue. Prominent Fox Sports personalities such as Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson also attended the celebration.
Reports from OutKick noted that New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and his wife, Jen, were among those invited. They were seen on social media, departing a hotel and entering a car on Friday evening.
Joe Buck from ESPN, along with his wife Michelle Beisner-Buck, were spotted as they arrived at Madison Square Garden. The event appeared well-coordinated, with permits reportedly filed around the venue, hinting at the grand occasion.
Travis Kelce’s connections from the football world were visible at the event too. Former Chiefs teammate Kareem Hunt and George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers were present to support the couple.
Additional information about the ceremony came from Fox News Digital. Taylor Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed that actor Adam Sandler officiated the wedding. He and Kelce became friends following Kelce’s involvement in the film Happy Gilmore 2.
Unique to this wedding, the couple decided not to have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor and Travis’s brother, Jason Kelce, was his Best Man.
The outfits for the bride and groom were crafted by Christian Dior Haute Couture. Designed by Jonathan Anderson, Dior’s Creative Director, these were the first couture wedding attire for a widely recognized celebrity. The couple’s custom shoes were created by Christian Louboutin, and Taylor adorned herself with Cartier jewelry.
Although Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes were expected to attend, they have not yet been publicly confirmed as present.
