The family of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo is urging for an independent investigation into his death. Alongside them, advocates and lawmakers are also demanding the release of video footage and other evidence related to the incident.
The incident took place in Houston, where Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE officer during an attempted traffic stop intended to be an immigration arrest. This event has deeply affected his son, Ronaldo Salgado, who remains haunted by the memories of his father’s final day.
